Analyzing existing file formats to be used in project management tools or to exchange project management data between project interests.

Collaboration across projects

Other free and open project management tool projects (KPlato and Planner) are also discussing file formats for their data - and like the open standard OpenDocument as default format for the office suites OpenOffice.org, StarOffice and KOffice - we could collaborate on the creation of an open standard for project management data.

It isn't determined which standard body should create the standard but we could start on a free and open mailing list which no is independed. If you have a suggestion to where such list could be hosted please write to the discussion list dev at oopm.openoffice.org.
